The party with a purpose is back and better than ever. The 25th annual One Voyage crusie set sail for its first day, continuing a legacy of celebration, music, and community empowerment on the high seas. This year’s “party on the water” kicked off with an incredible lineup that left everyone hype for the days to come.
For over two decades, the One Voyage Cruise has served as more than just a cruise; it’s a cultural institution and a family reunion for thousands. The journey combines top-tier entertainment with a mission to support Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) through the United Negro College Fund, making it a unique and vital event within the community. This year’s voyage continues that proud tradition, promising a week of unforgettable moments.
MAJOR kicked off the week-long festivities at the Sail Away Party, delivering his signature precise vocals and introducing sailers to his new song “May This Moment Never End” and teaching the LaLa Step.
The stage then lit up with a showcase of R&B royalty with the sounds of the legend Teddy Riley. He took cruisers on a ride through his amazing catalog of not only his music, but songs that he produced for others like Michael Jackson, Bobby Brown, BlackStreet, and more. The performance hit a high note with surprise guest Dave Hollister reuniting with Teddy Riley on stage to sing “Before I Let You Go”.
The musical journey didn’t stop there. The Human Bet Box, Doug E. Fresh, closed out the show with a true party, taking everyone down memory lane with some of the greatest moments in hip-hop.
