Donald Trump and his loyal cronies claimed that former President Joe Biden weaponized the government against him, but it would seem the current occupant of the White House is the one doing all the weaponizing.
The Associated Press reported that federal agents searched the home of Democratic U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar, who also just happens to be on Trump and his administration’s favorite targets, and for obvious reasons, being that she is Somali American. The Somalian’s in her home state of Minnesota have been accused of fraud without a shred of proof.
Two people familiar with the matter told the Associated Press that Omar is part of an ongoing criminal investigation.

The search was conducted by Homeland Security Investigations agents, said the people, who were not authorized to publicly discuss an ongoing investigation and spoke to The Associated Press on the condition of anonymity. More details about the investigation were not immediately clear, though Vice President JD Vance has in the past accused Omar of committing immigration fraud — an allegation she has denied — and has said he and a top White House official were trying to figure out how to investigate the Minnesota congresswoman.
Omar stated on her X (formerly Twitter) account, telling followers, “I will not be silenced,” and calling the move “political intimidation.”
Congressional Democrats Slam The Search of Rep. Ilhan Omar’s Home
Congressional Democrats immediately condemned the move. Michigan Rep. Debbie Dingell called the search of Omar’s home “unprecedented, but unfortunately not surprising,” adding Trump “repeatedly targeted Congresswoman Omar with hateful rhetoric, contributing to death threats and violence.”
Arizona Rep. Adellita Grijalva said it is “the latest — and darkest — chapter of Trump’s racist political persecution against Ilhan Omar and the entire Somali-American community.”
Colorado Rep. Jason Crow said the obvious, but very quiet part out loud, saying the current occupant of the White House is “weaponizing our government against his perceived political opponents,” while pointing to the administration’s unsuccessful attempt to indict him and other Democrats over a video telling soldiers not to follow illegal orders.
Social media agrees with Crow, immediately calling the search of Omar’s home flat-out weaponization.
