Lil Wayne and Drake have some hits the world has never heard.
Not just one or two, but a boatload of records sitting in the tuck. During a recent conversation, Weezy confirmed that he and The Boy have plenty more music on the way.
Wayne revealed that he regularly goes through their old recordings, including tracks dating back to 2014 and 2015, and revists them with fresh edits.
“We have a whole bunch of unreleased material. I go through stuff from 2014 and 2015, like… really unheard stuff. I edit stuff up and just send it to his phone so he can hear the new versions of it and get him going.”
According to Tunechi, Drake gets excited whenever he sends over one of their updated tracks and asks when he plans to release it. However, knowing Weezy, fans may have to wait a while before some of these vault records see the light of day.
The two have built an impressive catalog together over the years, collaborating on classics like “HYFR,” “I’m Goin In,” “Right Above It,” and many more.
Their chemistry has also extended beyond the studio, it’s clear the story between Lil Wayne and Drake has plenty of chapters left to be heard.
